Top Colleges in Haryana

A friend of mine, who recently attended a function at the national capital to reward and recognise educational institutes for their achievements asked me a question if I knew anything of interest about Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), which colleges he said were rated the Top Colleges of Haryana. The question was valid because Haryana is quite a big state with so many educational institutes around.

Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology

Obviously my reply was in affirmative and I told him about this institute what I knew. PIET is situated on the brink of G T Road leading from Delhi to Panipat at a distance of 50 minutes from Delhi Border. The travel from PIET to Panipat till Kurukshetra takes 20 to 90 minutes and that is why students from Delhi, Panipat, Gharaunda, Karnal and Kurukshetra find it very convenient in terms of travelling. At the same time students from about 80 surrounding villages also find this place as a boon, particularly for girls who are not permitted to go out of their homes for higher studies in residential colleges. PIET owns and manages a perfect transport system for day scholars with a fleet of around 50 buses which enjoy the reputation of timeliness. But students don’t choose a college for convenience alone. The other selling points of this institute are a world class infrastructure. the well lighted and spacious class rooms fall in the ‘fully loaded’ category with Acs, smart teaching systems, vast and green campus, book and digital libraries, twenty computer labs arrayed with 1200 computers, well furnished hostels for boys and girls, boarding house, cafeterias, stationery shops, banking and many more such facilities to make it complete in totality.

PIET, which has been approved by AICTE, Govt. of India, is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, which is in the list of ‘Top Ten’ universities of India. They have hostels because they have students from various states and other countries. This is where the answer to your question starts, I told my friend. While Haryana is in North, why should students from Northeast, Central India, Western parts, J&K etc should come all the way to this village side college is the question!! And they come here because it is the only one campus with an international culture made up of rural, urban and cultural diversities, which factors are most suitable for student development in a healthy way.

The faculty team is equipped with the best of teaching methods because while students are from countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh the institute has tie-ups with universities of Swede, Holland, Singapore, Germany, UK and USA to name a few. This provides a chance to the meritorious ones to be a part of international seminars and workshops. This is what I broadly know about this institute.

But why did you ask me this question, I asked my friend.

He told me that the function he was a guest at had many contenders from all over the country and as we assume, only the colleges of big cities perform well, the decision in favour of Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology as the Top Colleges in Haryana was a pleasant surprise to me. I am happy having talked to you because the way you apprised me about this institute leaves no questions now.
